Conditions of consideration of the material

The journal Vestnik Moskovskogo universiteta. Series 13. Oriental Studies considers submissions that correspond to the journal’s scholarly scope (research and review articles, research notes/materials, book reviews, bibliographic reviews, editions of sources and documents with scholarly commentary, information on scholarly events, etc.).

Manuscripts are submitted via the online editorial system (submission form) on the journal website. In case of technical failures or if the form is unavailable, the manuscript may be sent to the editorial office by email in .doc / .docx format to: vestnik.iaas@org.msu.ru; science@iaas.msu.ru (copy). When sending by email, it is recommended to name the file as follows: Surname_Initials – article (version 1).docx (e.g., Ivanov_II – article (version 1).docx). Submissions in other formats are not considered.

Manuscripts are accepted in Russian. Each submission undergoes an initial editorial screening for compliance with the journal’s scope and formatting requirements. The editorial office reserves the right to return a manuscript for revision prior to peer review or to reject it if the requirements are not met and/or if the manuscript does not fit the journal’s profile.

All scholarly manuscripts are handled in accordance with the journal’s editorial policies and procedures, including similarity checking and peer review. If a manuscript is accepted for publication, the author(s) complete the documentation required for lawful publication (including a licence agreement and other documents stipulated by the journal’s procedures).

Publication is free of charge: no honoraria are paid, and no fees are charged for submission, review, or publication; expedited publication is not available.
