Lomonosov Oriental Studies Journal

Lomonosov Oriental Studies Journal (Vestnik Moskovskogo universiteta. Seriya 13. Vostokovedenie) has been published since 1957. The first volume was issued one year after the establishment (1956) of the Institute of Oriental Languages at MSU, the predecessor of the Institute of Asian and African Studies.

Lomonosov Oriental Studies Journal (Vestnik of Moscow University. Series 13: Oriental Studies) is a peer reviewed scholarly journal devoted to Asian and African studies. It publishes original research papers by Russian and international scholars, as well as translations of rare texts from Oriental languages and editions of primary sources/archival materials accompanied by scholarly commentary. Recent issues are structured into interdisciplinary sections such as History, Linguistics, Literary Studies, Political Science and Economics; the journal also regularly features Reviews, bibliographic surveys and a Scholarly Life section (conference and round table reports), thus covering both fundamental and topical research agendas in contemporary Oriental studies.
